After 2 delays, Hutchinson man again scheduled for sentencing

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — After the hearing was continued twice, the sentencing hearing for a Hutchinson man convicted of aggravated criminal sodomy is scheduled for Friday.

The attorney for Nathan Crum had asked for the continuance so some type of evaluation could be done at a facility in Wichita before sentencing. Reno County District Judge Tim Chambers will decide the sentence for Crum.

Crum was found guilty of sexually assaulting a local woman while they watched a movie at his home. Crum admitted they had sex, but claims it was consensual. The sodomy incident occurred Aug. 17, 2018.

The state also charged him with one count of rape, but the jury found Crum not guilty of that count.
