Aggravated assault suspect bound over for trial

Kristin Ardolino

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A Hutchinson woman arrested for aggravated assault and being a felon in possession of a firearm was bound over for trial Monday after the preliminary hearing.

Thirty-two-year-old Kristen S. Ardolino is alleged to have pulled a large handgun and pointed it at her ex-boyfriend back on July 10, 2015. The alleged victim testified that she pointed the gun at him four to five times during the altercation where she came to his home in the 400 block of Carpenter. He told the court she would put the gun down when a car would go by, then repeatedly point it at him.

She has been on corrections for a drug case going back to 2014, which makes it unlawful for her to even have the gun.

With her being bound over for trial, she’ll be arraigned on the charges on June 6.
