Another car-pedestrian accident critically injures Hutchinson man

A Hutchinson man was critically injured when he was hit by a car while crossing 11th near the Cosmosphere around 8:20 a-m, Tuesday morning.

According to police, 58-year-old Robert Schraeder was in the cross walk with a second person when he was hit by an eastbound car driven by 62-year-old Sonya Hase of Hutchinson. The vehicle carried the victim on the hood for about 35-feet before coming to a stop.

Schraeder was airlifted by helicopter to a Wichita Hospital in critical condition. Hase was uninjured, but was still transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for evaluation.
