GREAT BEND – The investigation of the shooting death of 25-year-old Great Bend resident Damon Galyardt continues. His body was found near Southwest 60 Road on November 12.

The Barton County Sheriff’s Office, Great Bend Police, and the KBI are continuing to follow leads in connection with the case.

Two search warrants were executed this week, along with the confiscation of a vehicle that may have been involved with the case.

A person of interest was arrested on Tuesday, and is currently being held at the Barton County Detention Center in unrelated charges.

On Thursday, a second vehicle of interest was located and is being analyzed for evidence. This case is still under investigation.
