HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Arconic released its 2Q earnings report on Monday and the numbers were positive. The spin-off company of Alcoa reported a net income of $212 million, or 43 cents a share, in the
second quarter, up from $135 million, or 27 cents a share, in the year-earlier period.
Arconic, which employs about 75 people at its metals finishing plant in Hutchinson, has endured a rough start as a standalone company in dealing with a power struggle between investors and the Arconic Board. The infighting eventually led to the ousting of CEO Klaus Kleinfeld.
The earnings reports continue on Wednesday as Siemens Gamesa Renewables releases its 3Q numbers, followed by ADM on Aug. 1.
