HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Kansas Farm Bureau recently handed out scholarships to several area high school and college students.

Alexandrea Julian of Rice County was awarded the Godfrey and Emma Bahr Miller scholarship for a student pursuing a college major in agronomy and conservation. Pratt County’s Addison Smith was one of six students to receive a $1,000 KFB scholarship as a senior enrolled in the Kansas State University college of agriculture.

Caitlin Schlickau was one of 27 students awarded a $500 for attending Hutchinson Community College, which is a Kansas Farm Bureau Collegiate chapter.

Farm Bureau also awarded $500 scholarships to two area FFA chapters: Inman in McPherson County and Skyline High School in Pratt County.

Those chapters were recognized during the 90th Kansas FFA Convention May 30.
