SALINA – An argument that turned into a fight lead to one man being arrested on aggravated battery charges and another man sent to the hospital.

Police were called to 416 W. Jewell in Salina about 12:25 a-m, Friday morning on a report of someone having been shot. 25-year-old Weston Waddle is alleged to have shot 30-year-old Timothy Witte in the leg with a shotgun.

Witte was taken to the hospital with a severe leg injury.

Police believe alcohol was a factor in the shooting.
