HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A 31-year-old Arlington man was back in court Wednesday where he was read the charges of aggravated burglary, aggravated battery, and criminal damage.

Michael Mason is accused of entering the home belonging to his ex-girlfriend in Arlington last Friday morning. He entered the home without her permission, got into an altercation with her, and forced her onto a bed — where he began choking her. Her daughter came in and knocked him off of her.

Mason then left, but was located by Reno County Sheriff’s Deputies a short time later.

He’s jailed on a $10,000 bond. His case moves to a waiver-status docket on Feb. 21.
