HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Community College (2-0) defeated Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (1-1) in a close game 68-54.

The Dragons took their first lead of the game with just 33 seconds left in the first half. James Rojas hit a transition bucket to put the Dragons up 27-26 at the break.

Hutchinson outscored NEO 41-28 in the second half to keep the Golden Norsemen at arm’s length.

Boubacar Kamissoko provided a spark for the Blue Dragons with 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead No. 9 Hutchinson to the 68-54 win.
