Emergency Accident Reporting Plan in effect

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Emergency Accident Reporting Plan is in effect until further notice.

The Hutchinson Police Department and the Reno County Sheriff’s Department are both implementing the emergency reporting system.

If you are involved in a traffic accident and there is no alcohol, drugs or injuries involved, or roadways are not blocked by disabled vehicles, you can report your accident as soon as possible after the roads have cleared.

However, owner and driver information should be exchanged before leaving the accident scene.

Delayed report forms for the city can be picked up at all Kwik Shops or the Law Enforcement Center.

For accidents in the county, please go to the Reno County Sheriff’s Office website and print off the Emergency/Delayed Accident Reporting Form.

Salthawk basketball postponed

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutch High’s final home basketball games of the regular season have been postponed until Thursday.

Hutchinson’s girls will play Derby Thursday night at 6, the boys will follow at 7:30 p.m.

The Derby girls are undefeated (18-0, 11-0). Hutchinson’s girls are 7-12 (3-8 in conference play).

The Derby boys are 4-14, 2-9 and will play the 3-15, 0-10 Salthawk boys.

Legendary Hutchinson broadcaster Rusty Hilst will be honored for his 50 years of broadcasting Thursday night.

Masonic Lodge donates $1K to Boys and Girls Club

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Earlier this week, the Hutchinson Reno Masonic Lodge #124 showed its generosity once again.

Leo Ritter of the Masonic Lodge stands with Lindsey Fields (far left), Tabetha Gray (far right), and Youth of the Year D’Naeya Gray. Ritter presented the Boys and Girls Club with a $1,000 check Tuesday.

It’s only been five weeks since the organization generously donated $1,000 to First Call For Help.

This week, the Masonic Lodge wrote another $1,000 check. This time, the money went to the Boys and Girls Club.

Leo Ritter of the lodge presented the check to Lindsey Fields of the Boys and Girls Club. Teen Director Tabetha Gray and Youth of the Year D’Naeya Gray were also in attendance.

The Masonic Lodge raises money throughout the year and generously gives it back to the community.

Clairvoyants prepare for mesmerizing show

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Ahead of tonight’s performance in Hutchinson’s Historic Fox Theatre, Thommy Ten and Amélie van Tass — better know as The Clairvoyants — stopped by the Eagle Media Center to discuss their one-of-a-kind show that is unlike anything anyone has ever seen.

The Clairvoyants were featured on My 93-1, Country 102.9 and KWBW Thursday morning and talked about their experience on America’s Got Talent.

The talented duo mesmerized judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum and the world with performances that helped them finish as runner-up on season 11 of the show.

Fresh off dazzling sell-out crowds across the globe with The Illusionists, The Clairvoyants are prepared to open a fabulous new world of mentalism and illusions for the Fox Theatre at 7:30 p.m.
