Molly Garcia Carter, 77, of Hutchinson, died Friday, June 15, 2018, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born January 8, 1941, in Hutchinson, to Angel and Manuela ‘Nellie’ (Vieyra) Garcia.

Molly was a member of American GI Forum, V.F.W. Bob Campbell Post #1361, and American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Unit #68.  She was the owner and cook for Venture Inn in Hutchinson for 16 years and worked at Cessna for eight years.

On March 4, 1978, she married Randall ‘Randy’ Carter in Hutchinson. He survives.

Molly is survived by: sons, Jesse and Sammy Monje, both of Las Vegas, NV; daughters, Patsy Olivas and Anna Perez, both of Las Vegas, NV;  sisters, Angie Agoitia and husband Jerry, Lollie Luna, both of San Antonio, TX, Mercedes Corne of Tucson, AZ, Lydia Saiz and husband Bevo of Hutchinson, Christine Montes and husband Alberto of Arlington; brother, Angel Garcia Jr. of San Antonio, TX; sister-in-law, Frances Garcia of Hutchinson; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: parents; brother, Johnnie Garcia; sister, Theresa Mireliez; and infant sister, Avalina Garcia.

Geneva E. Morgan, 89, of Hutchinson, died Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Presbyterian Manor, Wichita. She was born October 25, 1928, in Castleton, to John J. and Emma C. (Graber) Goering.

Geneva graduated from Castleton High School in 1946 and Hutchinson Community College in 1948. She was a farmer and sales manager for World Book-Childcraft Enterprises. Education was extremely important to Geneva. She enjoyed teaching elementary students for two years, until she started her family and substitute teaching later in life. Geneva had many interests, including photography, painting, and reading, to name a few. She was a member of Tenth Avenue United Methodist Church, Hutchinson. Faith and family were her priorities.

On June 8, 1949, she married Jack W. Morgan in Pretty Prairie. He died April 10, 2001, after 51 years of marriage.
Geneva is survived by: sons, William P. Morgan (Nancy) of Burrton, Randall J. Morgan (Betty) of Wichita, James L. M. Morgan (Tammy Maurer) of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Robert M. Morgan (Ann) of Goddard; seven grandchildren, John Morgan, Thomas Morgan, Justin Morgan, Lindsay Wilke, Laura Gottlob, Blake Morgan, Clark Morgan; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; infant son, Warren Michael Morgan; and brothers, John Goering Jr., Glen Goering, and Vern Goering.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Tenth Avenue United Methodist Church, 300 W. 10th, Hutchinson, with the Reverend Richard G. Brooks officiating. Private family burial will take place in Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at Elliott Mortuary. The casket will remain closed.

Rosetta Rose ‘Rosy’ Seeger, 82, of Hutchinson, died June 13, 2018, at Diversicare of Hutchinson. She was born December 26, 1935, in Kincaid, the daughter of Albert I. and Carrie G. (Hasting) Goff. Rosy was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She married Raymond Seeger. He died August, 1960. Rosy is survived by: daughters, Roxie Hamby (Scott), Victoria Seeger, Rayma Seeger, all of Hutchinson; sons, Lewis Seeger, Roger Seeger, both of Hutchinson, Darrin Seeger of Lakin; grandchildren, Catrina Hernandez, Deven Seeger, Dillon Seeger, Bradley Seeger; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Nellie Goff of Hutchinson, Dora Newby (Richard) of Chautauqua, Maudie Seeger (Larry) of Lakin, Dotty Schrimp (Frank) of South Hutchinson, Barbara Goff of Hutchinson, Beverly Goff of Garden City; brother, Norman Goff of Hutchinson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Frankie Ray Goff; sisters, Becky Bunting, Betty Jean Jackson, Edna Goff; and brother, Albert Goff Jr.

No services are planned. Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, is in charge of arrangements.

Jimmie H. ‘Jim’ Sorensen, 80, died Monday, June 11, 2018, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born May 10, 1938, in Hutchinson to Thorval Emil and Lora Marie (Moats) Sorensen.

Jim lived in Hutchinson his entire life, other than three years, when he moved away and met his bride. He worked as a truck driver for numerous companies, retiring in 1992 from Yellow Freight. Jim was a member of Teamsters #795. He enjoyed working in his yard, but his greatest joy was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On November 18, 1960, he married Evarean ‘Eve’ McGee in Miami, Oklahoma. They shared almost 58 years of marriage. Jim is survived by: wife, Eve of Hutchinson; children, Jimmie E. Sorensen and wife Kim of Abbyville, Dean Sorensen and wife Deb of Hutchinson, Deanna Henning of Atlanta, Georgia; nine grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and several close friends. He was preceded in death by: his parents; five sisters; and son-in-law, Brian Henning.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2018, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Steve Gill officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.

Lonnie Lee Tipton, 72, of Hutchinson, died June 10, 2018, at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri. He was born February 1, 1946, in England, Arkansas, to Gentry and Willie (Moody) Tipton.

Lonnie worked as a machinist for Eaton Corporation for over 30 years.

On August 3, 1987, he married Wilma Gardner in Miami, OK. She died September 21, 2017. Lonnie is survived by: daughter, Linda Scoggin and husband Chris; son, Doyle Tipton; stepdaughter, Debra Hibbard; stepson, David Gardner, all of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Benjamin, Ike, and Ashley Cole; great-grandson, Hunter Jernigan; sister, Edna Tipton; brothers, Marvin Tipton and R.C. Tipton, all of Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2018, at Eleventh Ave. Chapel, 1326 W. 11th, Hutchinson, with pastor Earlene Ratliff officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.

Mason Cole Mullen, 32, of Hutchinson, died June 7, 2018. He was born October 31, 1985, the son of Jack Mullen and Barbara Harper.

Mason attended Winans and Graber grade schools, HMS 7 and 8, and Hutchinson High School.

He is survived by: mother, Barbara Harper and husband Sean; father, Jack Mullen and companion Laura Ediger; brothers, John, Michael, and Spencer; stepsisters, Brooke Gillespie and husband J.B., Baye Harper, Cassandra Harper; stepbrother, Eric Harper; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Martha Mullen and Loren and Phyllis Cook.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Elliott Chapel. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary. The casket will remain closed. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.

Mason loved music, family, and being a ‘Halloween Baby.’ Throughout his struggles in life, Mason never lost his faith, sense of humor, or pure heart. He was much loved and will be truly missed. ‘Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.’ Matthew 11:28.
