HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Raedeane M. Parks, 90, of Hutchinson, died May 22, 2017, at the Kansas Masonic Home, Wichita. She was born July 30, 1926, in Wichita, to Ray E. and Florence H. (Hancock) Thorpe.

Raedeane was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. She enjoyed embroidery, needlework, and daily walks with Earl.

On September 20, 1945, Raedeane married Earl Parks. They shared 68 years of marriage before his death on October 25, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robin Thorpe.  Raedeane is survived by: brothers, Charles Thorpe (Renate) of Wichita and Eugene Thorpe (Betty) of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Margaret Devins (Houston) of Wichita; sister-in-law, Sandra Manning (Robert) of Wichita; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Larry McCrary officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd., Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Gloria Louise Potter, 89, of Hutchinson, died Monday, May 22, 2017, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born March 30, 1928, in Belpre, to Stanley and Elizabeth (Walker) Mettling.

Gloria graduated from Belpre High School in 1946. She worked at Fraese Drug Store for 32 years and at Wendy’s for nine years as a hostess. Gloria enjoyed her customers who frequented Fraese and Wendy’s, and always gave away free hugs. Gloria and her family attended First Christian Church, where she played the piano for many years during Sunday school. She was a member of the Silver Leaf Chapter #464 Order of the Eastern Star.

In 1948, she married Joe “Bob” Potter at St. John. He died June 28, 1998.  Gloria is survived by: daughters, Penny Franklin and Carolyn Potter, both of the home; grandchildren, Donald Franklin and Myesha Rogers; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Forrest Mettling; sister, Ruth Cook; and granddaughter, Ingrid Franklin.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd., Hutchinson, with Pastor Betty Pinkston officiating. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Amanda K. “Maddie” Kroeker, 30, of Hutchinson, died May 20, 2017. She was born Sept. 23, 1986, in Torrington, WY, the daughter of Berdon J. and Irline J. (Tolen) Kroeker. Maddie graduated from Victory Village Academy and for the last seven years was a dormitory staff counselor there.

Maddie is survived by: children, Casey Kroeker and Luke Archer, both of the home; mother, Irline Kroeker of Central City, NE; brother, Clifton Kroeker of Central City, NE; sisters, Heather Rothermel and husband John of Palmyra, PA, Ali Kroeker of York, NE; and grandma, June Tolen of Broken Bow, NE. She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents, Irl Tolen, Jake and Vi Kroeker.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2017, at Victory Village Chapel, 201 S. Victory Rd., Hutchinson, with Reverend Bill Cowell and Pastor Tim Adrian officiating. Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Joan Fager, 87, of Hutchinson, died May 19, 2017, at Brookdale of Hutchinson. She was born March 16, 1930, in Hutchinson, to David A. and Anna G. (Hodges) Hayes.

Joan worked at Safeway as a meat wrapper and later became the head cashier. She was the building superintendent of the Domestic Arts Building at the fairgrounds. Joan loved playing the piano, quilting and serving the Lord throughout her life. She touched and blessed many lives.

On March 21, 1948, she married Russell L. Fager in Hutchinson. He died August 1, 2008. Joan is survived by: children, Patricia Muntz and husband John of Hutchinson, Dann Fager and husband Robert Raley of Haltom City, TX, Donald Fager and wife LaDonna of Hutchinson, David Fager and wife Julie of Lenexa; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017, at First Church of God, 702 Jefferson, Hutchinson, with Pastor Tim Kraft officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Michael E. “Mike” Calvillo, 62, of Hutchinson, died Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born Jan. 7, 1955, in Hutchinson, to Pete and Henrietta (Rodriguez) Calvillo. Mike graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1973. He worked for Chem-Dry, along with many years in radio, taking on numerous on-air personalities, such as “Captain KSKU.” Mike was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson, and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by: his parents; daughters, Katie Calvillo of Anthony and Emily Calvillo of Hutchinson; sons, Michael Calvillo of Overland Park and Patrick Calvillo of Acworth, Georgia; sister, Karen Hase (Larry) of Hutchinson; brother, Ted Calvillo (Janine) of Hutchinson; granddaughter, Peyten “PJ” Calvillo; grandsons, Brenden Calvillo and Bobby Graves; and numerous family members and friends.

Parish rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 612 S.
