Maize mangles Hutchinson 49-0

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Salthawks lost 49-0 to the Maize Eagles making it their second loss of the season.

Hutchinson’s offensive lines throughout the game couldn’t cover enough yardage to gain its footing.

Maize scored three out of the four quarters and put up 28 points in the second. The Eagles pushed hard through the Salthawks lines and successfully triumphed in tonight’s game.

Coach Mike Vernon talked about how his team is improving but still has much work to do:

Hutchinson will play Garden City next Friday, Sept. 14, at Gowans Stadium for their homecoming game.
