Fannie Nisly, 90, of Hutchinson, died Saturday, September 1, 2018, at home. She was born December 17, 1927, in Reno County, the daughter of Daniel and Barbara (Helmuth) Yoder.

Fannie was a member of Center A.M. Church. She was a homemaker and farm wife.

On October 23, 1949, Fannie married Melvin Nisly in Hutchinson. He survives. Also surviving: children, Judith Stutzman and husband Perry of Hutchinson, Joyce Bontrager and husband Steve of Kokomo, Indiana, Cynthia Miller and husband Dale of Plain City, Ohio, Titus and wife Marijane of Hutchinson, and Janelle Nisly of Evansville, Indiana; sister, Rebecca Miller of Mt. Gilead, Ohio; brothers, Levi Yoder and wife Colleen of Greeley, Colorado, Alfred Yoder and wife Linda of Phoenix, Arizona, and Paul Yoder and wife Edith of Hutchinson; brother-in-law, Raymond Nisly of South Hutchinson; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; sisters, Mary Nisly, Bertha and husband Elvon Helmuth; brother, Vernon Yoder and wife Marilyn; brother-in-law, Lester Miller; and a granddaughter, Julia Stutzman.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Center A.M. Church, 7611 West Morgan Avenue, with David Yoder, LaVerne Miller and Julian Nisly presiding. Burial will be in West Center Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church.

Jane Louise (Riddell) Leach, 97, of Hutchinson, died August 27, 2018, at Wesley Towers, Thorne Care Center, Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born July 16, 1921, in rural McPherson County, the daughter of Hugh Calvin and Mayme Anna (Gatz) Riddell.

Jane graduated McPherson High School. She then attended Kansas State University, from which she graduated in 1943 with a degree in Home Economics. Jane was a proud member of the Tri Delta Sorority.

Jane taught Home Economics in Inman, Kansas, until 1950. Her family then moved to Arlington, Kansas. She was a proud homemaker, raising three daughters, and working on the farm. Jane was civically active with a strong interest in the development of young women. She was involved with the Girl Scouts Wheat Belt Area Council for 25 years, serving on the board of directors. Jane was a member of the Ninnescah Culture Club. In addition, she and John revived a weekly newspaper, the ‘Arlington Enterprise’, which they managed and edited together. In retirement, Jane enjoyed sewing and knitting, traveling, and seemed the happiest when feeding her children, their husbands, and her grandchildren. She was proud of her regular donation of blood through the American Red Cross.

She married John Henry Leach in Hammond, Louisiana on December 24, 1943. He preceded her in death.

Jane is survived by: daughters, Janet Ralston (Mel) of Hutchinson, Kansas, Joneen Singleton (Jack) of Abingdon, Virginia, Jean Ramsey (Hap) of Sterling, Kansas; sister-in-law, Imogene Leach, Arkansas City, Kansas; grandchildren, Jennifer Reeves, Matthew Ramsey (Jana), Paula Nichols (Billy), Josie Aaron (Tim), Alex Singleton (Kellie), Joseph Ramsey (Casey Gervais), John Singleton (Candy); and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; two brothers, Marvin ‘Bus’ and Paul Riddell; and sister, Gladys Polson.

Private family graveside service will be held in McPherson City Cemetery. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, September 2, 2018, at Elliott Mortuary. The casket will remain closed.

Rita Marie Reinecke, 74, of Hutchinson, died Sunday, August 26, 2018, at her home. She was born November 7, 1943, in Denver, Colorado, to Marcellus Martin and Agatha (Nemechek) Denning.

Rita graduated from Hill City High School in 1961. She retired from the Kansas Department of Transportation, working for the Reno County Transportation Department for 18 years as an office specialist. Rita was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church and taught ‘The Great Adventures’ Bible history class at the church. She was known for her business, ‘Rosaries by Rita’ making hand wired rosaries. Rita loved nature and enjoyed the peaceful solitude of her country home.

On May 15, 1964, she married Gilbert Reinecke in Omaha, Nebraska. They had three children and later divorced.

Rita is survived by: children, Deneene Esau (Irvin), Eric Reinecke, all of Newton, Alana Vibbert (Greg) of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Bryan Esau of Newton, Brittany Vibbert of Hutchinson; siblings, Beverly Morford of Hutchinson, Kenneth Denning (Juanita) of Goodland, and Carol Shute of Las Vegas, Nevada; and her beloved German Shepherd of seven years, Sasha.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Parish Rosary will be 6 p.m. Sunday, September 2, 2018, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 211 E. 5th, Hutchinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, September 3, 2018, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, with Father Michael J. Maybrier officiating. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018, in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Hill City, with Father Henry Saw Lone officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
