GREAT BEND (AP) – Authorities are investigating the death of a 37-year-old inmate at the Barton County Detention Facility.

Barton County Undersheriff Larry Holliday says the man was found dead in a one-man cell Friday evening.

The man’s name was being withheld while relatives were notified. An autopsy was being conducted in Hays.

Holliday says the inmate had been booked into the facility on November 15th on charges from Hoisington.
