HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Celia Biel had a plan, and the Trinity Catholic senior worked it to perfection as she won the varsity girls race at the Buhler Invitational cross country meet Thursday at Prairie Ridge Park. Biel jumped out to a big lead at the first mile and ran away to a :40 second victory in a time of 20:01.

Circle won the girls varsity team title with 49 points. Buhler ended up with 4th and Trinity Catholic finished in 7th. Buhler was lead by a pair of freshman with Jenna Ramsey in 17th and Iris Rees in 18th.

On the boys side of things Buhler finished in 9th place in the 18 team field with Trinity Catholic in 11th. Circle also won the the boys varsity title. Buhler was lead by Rand Lorentz who finished in 12th place. Trinity was paced by Conner Remar in 38th.

Josh Reed of Salina South won the boys title with a time of 17:00.
