Some relief from the very rough railroad crossing at Main and 3rd Avenue is finally near. The City of Hutchinson announced that BNSF Railway will replace the Main Street crossing starting Thursday.

The project is scheduled to begin around 7:30 Thursday morning and should be completed by late in the afternoon on Friday. Both lanes of Main will be closed during that time. The railroad also plans to replace the crossing at Washington this summer.
