In a brief news release, The Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce announced Friday afternoon that Monty Montgomery has tendered his resignation as President of the Chamber effective immediately.
Lowell Peachey says in the release, “the Chamber appreciates Mr. Montgomery’s service during his term as President and wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors.” He says the chamber will begin its search for a new president immediately. In the interim, Jon Daveline will handle the duties that Montgomery was responsible for.
Peachey would not specify to us why the sudden resignation saying its an internal employment issue, but says he believes they have a great staff that can carry on with the responsibilities of the Chamber.
