Buhler Community Foundation deadline nears

BUHLER, Kan. — In 2012, the Buhler Community Foundation joined the Kansas Health Foundation’s GROW II Initiative.

The Kansas Health Foundation had previous success in helping Kansas community
foundations grow unrestricted endowments through matching initiatives. The match for
Buhler was set at $300,000 with six years to earn it. Now, only $16,995 remain, but Dec.
31 of this year is the last day gifts will earn matching dollars.

Any endowed gifts to the Fund for Buhler or the Buhler Public Health Endowment earn a 1:2 match, or 50 cents for each dollar donated. Donations to the Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community Endowment Fund or Buhler USD 313 Educational Endowment Fund earn a 1:4 match, or 25 cents for each dollar donated. The matching money from the Kansas Health Foundation is split between an operating endowment and a health endowment. A goal of the GROW II initiative is to make the community foundation more sustainable.

Year-end gifts may be made online at buhlercf.org. Call 620-663-5293 for more information.
