
WINFIELD, Kan. – The Wichita Collegiate Girls Tennis won the 4A Tennis State Championship over the weekend with Buhler capturing 2nd place and Topeka Hayden took home 3rd place. In singles competition Tiffinay Teufel finished 4th and Aliyah Frederick placed 7th. In doubles, Buhlers team of DeMeyer and Hutton placed 4th. The 2nd place finish is the highest state finish in school history.
State Golf gets under way today with 6A at Carey Park in Hutchinson, 5A Emporia, 4A Hesston and 3-2-1A in Salina. Several area Girls Golf teams are in competition today.
