Hutchinson Police took reports of a number of burglaries in the area over the weekend.

That included three where the residents were actually in the home. Both occurring on Dixie Street. The first in the 1500 block where the resident reported someone entering her residence and taking a bottle of ibuprofen out of her purse while she was sleeping.

The second was in the 1400 block of Dixie where a man reported someone entering his residence while he was asleep and taking miscellaneous items.

The third occurring in the 400 block of Town Street where the suspect entering an unlocked, attached garage while the resident was sleeping and stole tools from him.

Another burglary was reported in the 600 block of North Washington where the suspect or suspects made entry into an apartment through an unsecured window located on the east side of the property. Missing was a custom samurai sword, a pocket knife collection, coins and a Sony 3 play station.

Police also took a burglary report which occurred in the 700 block of West Sherman where someone entered an unlocked residence and took prescription medication.

Several auto burglaries were also reported to police over the weekend.
