A 33-year-old Wichita man was taken to the hospital after a one vehicle accident in Butler County Christmas Day.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Robert Loerke was eastbound on K-254 and his vehicle began to fish tale due to the left rear tire axle having a mechanical breakage. He lost control, entered the south ditch, rolled one time and came to rest upright in the ditch.

He was taken to Wesley Medical Center for treatment with the accident occurring around 3:45 p-m.
