A Yoder man was injured after a car he was working on fell on top of him.

It happened shortly before 6 p.m. at a mobile home park, located in the 3100 block of Switzerland Road. The Reno County Sheriff’s Office reported that 38-year old Marvin Sherwood was working on a car that was resting on a scissor when the vehicle slipped off the jack pinning him underneath.

A group of four to five neighbors were able to lift the car up and pull Sherwood from underneath it.

The sheriff’s office says Sherwood was conscious and alert when he was airlifted to Via Christi Hospital – St. Francis in Wichita, for treatment. He is listed in fair condition.
