An accident involving a car and a motorcycle sent one person to the hospital. EMS and Hutchinson police responded to the crash at 16th and Main around 9:30 a-m.

According to reports, 80-year-old Thelma Northern of 1316 East “B” was going west on 16th when she pulled through the intersection and hit the northbound bike ridden by 69-year-old James Hopengardner of 2309 North Jackson.

Hopengardner who was not wearing a helmet was taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment. Northern was not injured.
