The Kansas Court of Appeals issued unpublished opinions on two Reno County cases of interest.

Zachery Tague was convicted of aggravated indecent solicitation of a child and sentenced to serve 32-months in prison. He had been granted 36-months community corrections supervision. The corrections supervision was revoked by Judge Joe McCarville because Tague had contact with two minors and engaged in an online chat with a 17-year-old girl.

He had been convicted of having sex with a 13-year-old Hutchinson teenager he met on Facebook.

Tague had entered the plea back in June of 2010 as part of an agreement with the state. He had been charged with rape, even though the sexual conduct was consensual.

He appealed his corrections being revoked and the Kansas Court of Appeals affirmed the revocation of Tague’s community corrections and the execution of the underlying 32-month sentence.

In the other case, the former Arlington City Councilman, Shane Zink was convicted of 6 counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child and 8 counts of sexual exploitation of a child. He received a life prison sentence under Jessica’s Law on all 14-counts, however the sentences were ordered concurrent to each other.

The sexual conduct with the child starting on March 12, of 2009 and the last encounter on April 18, of 2010.

The alleged victim telling officials, she stayed at his home back on April 18 of 2010, and alleges photos were taken of her in sexual positions by Zink. She also claims that he touched her in an inappropriate way twice during that stay, once that evening, and again the next morning. But, now officials says the alleged sexual abuse started clear back in March of 2009.
