HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson City Council ventures into new territory tonight when it meets for regular session.

This will be the first in a trial run of meetings that will be held at 5:30 p.m. instead of the usual 9 a.m. Evening meetings will be held the last meeting of each month. City Manager John Deardoff commented about the time change:

Deardoff says there is no time table set to make a decision regarding the permanency of evening meetings. Tonight’s Hutchinson City Council meeting begins at 5:30 in the city office.
