HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson City Housing Commission will take a month before revisiting the rental registration and inspection program.

The Housing Commission got an update on the decisions made by the City Council to keep the program in place, but made major changes to the program. What those changes will be will come from the commission.

No timeline was given for when the commission might have a new proposal for the council.

Discussion about the future of the program began in August and came to a head when the commission first considered ending the program. At a later meeting, however, the commission decided to keep the program.

That was met with much discussion by the council, which eventually came to the decision to keep the program, but make changes.
