City Will Not Provide Limb Pick Up

While there is widespread damage to trees in the city, Hutchinson Public Works Director Reg Jones announced Thursday that there will be no curb side limb pick up in the city. Five years ago when the December Ice Storm crippled the area, the city contracted with several companies to clear away the limbs, an effort that stretched into the summer months.

But, Jones said that the damage isn’t extensive enough to have the city clear away the limbs. He also noted that the city will not have any drop off sites for the tree limbs. That means the landfill is the only option for those wanting to dispose of the storm debris.
