SALINA – A 56-year-old store clerk in Salina was treated and released from the hospital with facial injuries following an aggravated robbery at a north Salina liquor store just after 7 p-m, Thursday evening.
Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney tells Salina Post.com that the suspect described as a Hispanic male between 20-to-30-years-of-age, walked into Dallas Liquor and began hitting the male clerk in the face several times, before taking him behind the counter and telling the clerk to stay down.
The clerk remained down on the floor, while the suspect took an undetermined amount of money from the register before leaving.
Witnesses said the suspect who was wearing a dark colored hoodie, got into a small white car and left the area.
The clerk had bruises on his face as well as a cut on the bridge of his nose that required stitches.
