Coldwater man sentenced to 3-years for shooting

COLDWATER – A 22-year-old Coldwater man will spend more than three years in prison after being convicted of aggravated battery. Judge Leigh Hood Friday sentenced Alexander J. Basoco, to 41-months in prison.

The charges stemmed from an incident on July 18, 2010, when Basoco shot Andrew J. Trummel in the stomach. Trummel survived the shooting.

A jury found Basoco guilty on the aggravated battery charge in August.

The case was investigated by the Comanche County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant Attorney General Andrew Bauch prosecuted the case.
