HUTCHINSON, Kan. — As expected, the Reno County Commission approved an agreement with WSP-USA, Inc., for the engineering work for the replacement of renovation for six bridges, including the bridge on 43rd over the Union Pacific tracks just east of the old K-61 Highway.

Others on the list include a bridge over the Arkansas River south of Nickerson on Nickerson Road, renovation of the Nickerson Boulevard Bridge over the Cow Creek floodway, the bridge at the entrance to Willowbrook just off Wilson Road, a bridge on 82nd over the Blaze Fork Creek and the Little Arkansas River Bridge on Medora Road.

The first four will be paid for with general obligation bonds while the final two will be paid for using the bridge mill levy fund.

The total cost of the engineering services is $463,650.
