HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Normally, the Reno County Commission has its meetings on Tuesday, but this week’s meeting has been postponed to Thursday.
The agenda includes another public hearing on the zoning request for a conditional use permit to establish a facility that would produce metal roofing, siding and trim products and sell building supplies on land currently zoned rural residential. The property is about 500 feet north of the intersection of South Yoder Road and East Red Rock Road. After the hearing, the commission is expected to take action on the request.
A number of agreements with the Kansas Department of Transportation as well as some agreements for work on the Highlands Sewer District number 8 will be considered.
That includes an agreement with Smoky Hill, LLC, of Salina to work on the improvements at a cost of $1,052,236. Commissioners will also consider an engineering agreement with BG Consultants for the sewer district at a cost not to exceed $30,000.
The Commission meeting begins at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Reno County Courthouse.
