HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson City Council gave approval to an Emergency Services grant for the Sexual Assault Domestic Violence Center in the amount of $40,092.
The grant will help pay for technology upgrades, along with other expenses. The center serves Kingman, Rice, Harper and Reno counties.
Also Tuesday, the council approved a conditional use permit for a small building the owner wants to turn into a duplex. The building is on the corner of 5th and Adams, just east of Dillon’s.
Finally, the council gave approval to vacate a street easement on the south and east side of property at 4904 Cottonwood for Bob and Ann Bush to build an addition on their property. The utility easement will stay in place in case it is needed in the future.
