The Kansas State Fair announced Wednesday that country singer Justin Moore will be unable to perform at the Kansas State Fair due to a change in his touring schedule. Country artist Chris Cagle has been confirmed to fill the free concert on the same date, Wednesday, Sept. 12.
“We’re glad Chris Cagle will be able to fill this free concert date at the Kansas State Fair,” said General Manager Denny Stoecklein. “He’s been a part of the country music scene for many years and is just getting better with time.”
Cagle released his first album in 2000, and his hits include “What a Beautiful Day,” “What Kinda Gone” and “Chicks Dig It.” His recent chart-leader, “Got My Country On,” will be a part of his upcoming album, Back in the Saddle, scheduled to be released June 26.
The fair also announced Wednesday that actor/singer/dancer Max Schneider will open for the Victoria Justice concert on Friday, Sept. 7. Schneider co-stars on the Nickelodeon series, “How to Rock.” He also co-wrote the song, “Last One Standing,” with Matt Wong and Claire Demorest, which is featured in two episodes of “How To Rock.”

Cagle’s self-proclaimed version of “redneck rock ‘n roll” has been firing people up for over a decade. Born in DeRidder, La., Chris set off for Nashville after trying his hand at college in Texas. Through working several odd jobs, Cagle was able to record four original songs for a demo tape that was eventually heard by Scott Hendricks, then president of Virgin Records’ Nashville division. In 2000, Cagle was signed to Virgin Records and created his first album, Play It Loud. Cagle’s first number one hit, “I Breathe In, I Breathe Out,” was on this album and remains a fan favorite.
Cagle’s success continued. In 2003, Cagle released his second consecutive gold album, titled Chris Cagle. Cagle followed with a third album, Anywhere but Here, in 2005. His fourth album, My Life’s Been a Country Song, was released in 2008 and included the single, “What Kinda Gone” and “No Love Songs.” Capital Nashville also released a greatest hits album in 2010 titled The Best of Chris Cagle.
While his professional career was rewarding, Cagle yearned to spend some time away from the spotlight. Cagle retreated to Marietta, Okla., where he spent the next few years reconnecting with his roots and building his family’s home, “Big Horse Ranch.”
Cagle’s return to country music includes “Got My Country On,” the first single from his highly anticipated fifth album, expected to release June 26. Back In The Saddle is his homecoming – a rekindling of his creative flame and a roaring reminder of his rock-infused country roots. It’s something he originated and what he does best: relatable, back-roads and familiar, while also being a striking form of country music worth getting excited about.

Max Schneider began performing at the age of 3, and he hasn’t stopped since. He started off singing and dancing for family and friends on his living room table, but began his professional career in the musical, “13,” on Broadway and things just set off from there. Shortly after “13” closed, Schneider booked a guest star role on “Law and Order SVU.” He has also appeared on television shows such as “One Life To Live” and “The View.”
In May 2010, Schneider walked into a casting for a Dolce & Gabbana ad campaign featuring Madonna. A week later he was posing arm-in-arm with Madonna for world-renowned photographer. In 2011 Schneider filmed his first pilot co-starring in a new series for Nickelodeon called “How To Rock,” playing the character Zander Robbins. The series was picked up shortly after and started airing on Nickelodeon in early 2012. He also co-starred with Keke Palmer in a new TV musical movie for Nickelodeon entitled “RAGS”.
Schneider is an avid singer and songwriter and, along with working on his own album, he has been writing for other projects and artists. His song “Last One Standing,” which he co-wrote with Matt Wong and Claire Demorest, is featured in two episodes of “How To Rock.” And his song “Show You How To Do,” which he co-wrote with Ben Charles, is featured on the show “Shake It Up”.
