HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Reno County sales tax revenue fell slightly from the previous month in Oct. and fell significantly from the same time last year. It’s also the first time this year that sales tax revenues have fallen behind last years pace.
Sales tax collected in October totaled almost $357,100, which is about $2,500 less then in Sept. but more then $45,000 less then in October of last year.
Year to date, the county has taken in 3.74 million dollars, compared with the 3.83 million at this time last year.
Taxes for October reflect sales in the county in August.
