County Treasure Clark Miller released the latest sales tax numbers Monday which shows in increase over last month with the county bringing 352-thousand, 682-dollars for October, compared with 344-thousand, 913-dollars in September, a difference of 7-thousand, 769-dollars.
However, the total fell below the amount the county brought in for the same period last year, when the total was 353-thousand, 904-dollars.
So far this year, the county has brought in 3-million, 376-thousand, 69-dollars and still have two months to go to match or surpass last when the county brought in 4-million, 15-thousand, 826-dollars.
The numbers for October represent August sales in the county.
