County seeks approval of large expenditures

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Two construction contracts, and roof repairs to the Public Works Building, will mean a lot of Reno County Logomoney being spent by the Reno County Commission during tomorrows regular meeting.

The board will seek approval of a bid from Wray Roofing,  to replace the roof at the Public Works building that was damaged by hail. The cost of the project is  $420,655. The Board will also take action on a contract with L&M Contractors for the new bridge on Raymond Road near 4th Avenue for $469,314. The bridge cross the Salt Marsh Creek in far western Reno County. The final contract is actually for two road projects. The county will consider a bid from APAC Shears for resurfacing 16 miles of Sego Road, and three miles of old K-61 Highway for a total of $3,485,882.

Tuesday’s meeting of the Reno County Commission begins at 9am at the Reno County Court House
