Reno County Treasure Clark Miller released the latest sales tax numbers for May showing the county collected 375-thousand, 816-dollars for this month, an improvement over last month when the county only collected just under 311-thousand.

The number is also an improvement over May of last year when the county collected 350-thousand, 584-dollars.

So far this year, the county has collected 1-million, 746-thousand, 117-dollars, which puts them slightly ahead of the same time last year, when the county had collected 1-million, 698-thousand, 874-dollars.

The figures released Friday reflect sales in the county for March of this year.
