The fear of snow has the trial for a Hutchinson woman accused of perjury delayed by one day.

Dana Craig testified at the preliminary hearing for two men accused of killing Jennifer Heckel in the summer of 2011 and charged with perjury by the state.

Craig was charged by the state for testifying that her ex-husband Billy Craig Jr., could not have been involved in the murder of Jennifer Heckel, because he was with their daughter that night. But, the state was able to establish that those statements couldn’t be true, because Craig’s daughter was working at the McDonald’s in South Hutchinson during that time.

The trial for Craig will be in front of Judge Tim Chambers with Senior Assistant District Attorney Steve Maxwell representing the state and local attorney Sam Kepfield representing Craig.

The courts decided to delay the start of the trial one day because of the possibility of heavy snow.
