Davis goes to prison

McPHERSON, Kan. — A McPherson County man was sentenced to nearly three years in prison for an accident that left Court Gavel 20a McPherson school teacher critically injured. Jeffery Paul Davis recently pleaded “no contest” to charges of aggravated battery while driving under the influence for the two-vehicle accident that injured Mia Stockman.

Stockman was on her way to work when she was hit head on by Davis, leaving her with severe brain trauma. Because Davis has been incarcerated for the past six months, he’ll likely serve about two more years before his release.
