GREAT BEND – Testimony continues Monday in the Adam Longoria Jury Trial, the man charged with the capital murder of 14-year-old Great Bend resident Alicia Debolt.

Kansas Bureau of Investigation Agent Roger Butler testified about the collection of an orange oil jug that was found on the other side of a fence at the Venture Plant where Debolt’s body was found. After cross-examination, Butler said he didn’t know how long the jug was there, and fingerprints were not taken on the jug.

Detective Terry Millard of the Great Bend Police Department testified. He said he met with Adam Longoria in front of the Debolt home August 23rd. Longoria told him he was there trying to help the family find the “missing girl,” and had heard he and his vehicle were involved and wanted to clear that up. Longoria told Millard that he went bowling, then to the Rack, and then to Willy J’s the night of August 21st. Millard said Longoria never mentioned working on someone’s car as opposed to Eva Brown’s testimony, when she said he told her he was working on someone’s car.

Agent Heather Smith with the Great Bend Police Department testified. She said she talked to Longoria over the phone on August 23, while he was at Debolt’s home. She said Longoria told her that he gave Debolt his number on July 17 at Eva Brown’s Birthday party, so she could let him know she got home safe, and initially said that was the last text he sent her, but later told her he texted her August 21st.

Smith said Longoria told her that he was inviting her to a party, and he was texing her for his friend Ivan.

Smith also testified about the search for pieces of a gray T-shirt, after receiving information from law enforcement regarding Brown’s testimony. She said after contacting the Great Bend Street Superintendent, she searched the compost site and found pieces of a Nike gray t-shirt.
