MCPHERSON COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just before 3 p.m. Saturday in McPherson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by Brandon S. Weaver, 36, Fort Dodge, IA., was southbound on Interstate 135 at Lone Tree Township and fell asleep.

The vehicle crossed the center line, struck the bridge rail and came to a rest on the right shoulder.

EMS transported Weaver the hospital in McPherson. He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
