Although the Reno County Drug Unit actually made more cases for the second quarter of the year then they did during the first, they didn’t seize as much drugs or drug proceeds.

They made 30-cases in the second quarter which included 18-felony and one misdemeanor arrest. That compared with only 20-cases made, along with 9-felony and 10-misdemeanor arrest in the first quarter.

According to the figures released by the Reno County Sheriff’s Office, They seized drugs valued at over 90-thousand dollars this past quarter, while in the first quarter, the value of drugs seized was close to 182-thousand, 500-dollars.

Money seized in the second quarter of the year totals almost 26-thousand, 700-dollars, compared with just under 9-thousand for the first quarter of the year.

Value of property seized was almost double in the second quarter at 2-thousand dollars, compared with 11-hundred the previous quarter.

Marijuana was the drug seized the most in both quarters at 60-thousand, 121 grams or roughly 132-pounds in the first quarter, compared with around 3-pounds in the second. Street price for marijuana is 80-dollars per ounce.

Ice meth came in second in the second quarter at 643-grams, or roughly 1.4 pounds, followed by meth at nearly 54-grams.

There was 15-grams of crack, and no regular cocaine seized, but 20-Pseudo-effedrine pills seized.

There was also the seizure of 20-Valium pills, and 20-seizures of illegal steroids this past quarter.

Tax warrant monies seized are not included in the money total.
