HUTCHINSON, Kan. – A local elementary school was placed in lock down around 2 yesterday as a precaution after allegedly a person threatened and person with a firearm.

This occurring in the area of Avenue A grade school.

Apparently, no students were in danger according to a message on Facebook, but they did this as a precaution.

Police didn’t release any information on the incident on the person having a gun itself.

We were told that the woman was taken for a mental evaluation.
