HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The ESSDACK Career & Post-Secondary Expo is coming to the Hutchinson Mall Nov. 6 and 7. The expo is expected to be the largest college and career planning event in Kansas.

To date, over 6,000 students are currently registered.

While the original focus of the expo was skilled trades, Rohling says they are expanding their career coverage:

 

Rohling says that students need to start thinking about what they want to do in life as early as 7th grade and should have a plan in place by the time they reach high school:

 

The 2017 Career & Post-Secondary Expo highlighted close to 160 post-secondary opportunities from two-year college degrees associated with specific careers, four-year college degrees, industry certifications, apprenticeships, military opportunities, and business partners.

This year’s expo runs from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. each day.
