A 40-year-old Independence, Kansas man was killed in a fiery crash in Montgomery County on Saturday.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, David William Beeson was northbound on 3900 Road when for an unknown reason, his Ford Explorer went left of center and entered the west ditch. His vehicle then struck a culvert and overturned coming to rest on its top. The vehicle then caught fire and became fully engulfed in flames.

His body was taken to First Call in Topeka.

The accident occurring just before 5:30 p-m.
