Hutchinson Fire Official credit the work of a Reno County EMS paramedic in saving a 30-year-old client of Tech in Hutchinson Thursday morning.

They apparently responded to a code blue incident with the man choking on a large piece of orange, maybe half of one or more.

When they arrived, the man was not breathing and the perimedic then used a tool to reach down and dislodge the piece of orange from his throat. They were then able to get the man breathing again.

Fire official also credited the work of officials at Tech who had their client down and were already working to try to help him breathe.

Tech is an organization dedicated to helping those with physical or mental dissabilities live productive and happy lives.
