Considering the very strong winds across Kansas Tuesday, it’s no surprise really that fire have been busy fighting brush fires across the area.

That was apparently the case Tuesday when units from the Hutchinson Fire Department and Reno Joint District-2 responded to 82nd and Cottontail Drive for a brush fire.

Approximately 20 acres of brush was burned, but fire officials report that the fire is under control. No injuries were reported.
