Florida man makes court appearance in aggravated assault case

A 19-year-old Tampa, Florida man who was taken to jail Wednesday morning on charges of aggravated assault, theft of motor fuel, reckless driving, and driving while suspended made a court appearance Thursday morning where he requested a reduction of his 6-thousand dollar bond, which was denied.

The case against Timothy Stewart starts with an employee of the Kwik Shop at 17 th & Plum saying a black male attempted to strike her with his vehicle as he left without paying for fuel and drove in reverse down 17th.

This occurring around 9:45 a-m and Stewart will be back on court next Wednesday if not sooner, once the state files formal charges.
