Reno County Health Department Officials have told us that they are out of the privately purchased flu vaccine.

The department does still have flu vaccine through the Vaccine for Children (VFC) program – that would be for children through 18 years of age who; have Medicaid, have no health insurance or they are American Indian or Alaska Natives.

There is still plenty of flu vaccine in the community at area health clinics and pharmacies for those who are over the age of 18 or do not qualify for the VFC program.
